Customer Reviews
Great tools, easy to use
I bought the UFO Lame and a set of replacement razor blades. Ordering was straightforward on their website, no issues there. Shipping took about 6 days to get to my place in Oregon, which was fine. The lame itself is really well-made, the wood feels nice, and it's easy to hold. Scoring my sourdough was much easier than with a regular razor. I also appreciated that it came with clear instructions on blade insertion. Good quality product all around.
Always reliable quality
This was my third order from Wiremonkey, this time for a new Bench Scraper and a couple of Sourdough Starter Jars. I've bought a UFO Lame and some proofing baskets from them before. Their stuff is always consistent. The scraper is sturdy, feels good in the hand, and the jars are exactly what I expected. Shipping was quick again, usually gets to me in about 4-5 days. It's why I keep coming back; I know what I'm getting and it always meets expectations. No complaints, just good tools for baking.
Good value with the bundle
I was looking for a good lame but didn't want to overspend. I saw they had a bundle deal with the Goose Lame and some blades, which worked out cheaper than buying them separately. Shipping wasn't super fast, took about a week, but it was free which helped. Overall, I felt like I got a good deal for the quality of the tool.
Solid product, minor shipping snag
I ordered the Arc Lame and a Leather Lame Pouch. The lame itself is fantastic, very comfortable to hold and makes scoring much easier than my old setup. The leather pouch is also really nice quality, keeps the blade safe. My only minor issue was shipping; it took 8 days to get here to upstate New York, which felt a bit long for a small package. Not a huge deal, but something they could tighten up. Customer service was responsive when I inquired about the tracking, so that was good. Overall, I'm happy with the purchase.

thinking about getting one of these, but saw a Mure & Peyrot one for a bit less. Is Wire Monkey really worth the extra few bucks?
Anyone know if the free shipping over 50 bucks applies automatically or do I need a code for that?
What's the actual difference between the UFO and the Goose lame? They both look cool but can't decide.
Hey, wondering how long shipping usually takes for a lame to hit California? Trying to get it before Thanksgiving baking.
Are these lames actually made from real wood? Some brands use fake stuff.
Has anyone had to return something? Was it a pain or pretty straightforward?
Can I stack the newsletter signup discount with a Black Friday deal when that rolls around?
Are the blades easy to swap out on these? I'm used to those long stick ones and I'm a bit clumsy.
